(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

An area of fifty square miles was inundated due to a sweeping storm which raged last night in Belinicki in the district of Mohileff, in White Russia.

Eight hundred and eighty houses and buildings and the entire crop in the area were destroyed. Many rivers and lakes in the district overflowed. Several fishermen were drowned, and a great deal of cattle was lost.

CORRECTION

In Mr. Louis Marshall’s comment on Zangwill’s death which appeared in the “Jewish Daily Bulletin” of Aug. 3, an error occured. In line nine of Mr. Marshall’s statement on column one of Page 4 the word “Jews” should have been “truth.”
