Zalman Raisin, author of the “Lexicon of Yiddish Literature,” and editor of the Vilna Yiddish daily, “Der Tog,” arrived yesterday in New York on the “Aquitania,” to participate in the first annual convention of the Yiddish Culture Association, which opens in New York next Friday. Mr. Raisin came here also in the interests of the Yiddish Scientific Institute of Vilna. On his arrival, he was greeted at the pier by a number of prominent Yiddish writers, as well as representatives of Yiddish culture societies.
