A statement deploring raising of the “Goldman Reorganization Plan” issue in connection with the forthcoming annual convention of the Zionist Organization of America was made public today by the Committee on Zionist Convention Problems.
Signed by 12 Zionist leaders from various sections of the country, the statement asserted that official minutes of the ZOA Executive and Administrative Council proved that the reorganization plan, although supported by the Executive, had been abandoned by President Solomon Goldman himself for lack of funds with which to implement it. The signatories include: David Bernstein, St. Louis; Harry Friedberg, Kansas City, Kansas; Charles A. Cowen, Abraham Goldberg, Dr. Harris J. Levine, Meyer Levy, Charles Ress, Rabbi Irving Miller, Carl Shermam, and William I. Siegel, all of New York; Abrahan Goldstein, Hartford, and Ludwig Lewisohn.
