A rally of Jewish soldiers serving in the British and Allied armies in the Middle East will be convened here shortly, it is reported in the Hebrew press today.
The Hamashkif, Jerusalem daily, states that a group of Jewish soldiers plan to call the rally in order to voice a message of hope to the Jews in Nazi-dominated countries.
A banner brought to Palestine sixty years ago by the first Zionist pioneers, who came from Russia, was turned over to descendants of those settlers, who are now serving in the Jewish units in the Buffs, British regiment stationed here, at an impressive ceremony today at Zichron Yacob on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of that colony’s establishment.
