Hertha Oberhauser, a physician convicted of war crimes at the Ravensbruck concentration camp, today surrendered the title of “doctor” and gave up the practice of medicine. She had been convicted during the Nuremberg war crime trials and was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment. Released in 1952, she resumed her practice. Several months ago, however, her case was revived and there were wide demands that her medical license be revoked.
