Rebecca Umanski, a pioneer in the Zionist movement has died at the age of 70. Mrs. Umanski was a delegate from England to the second World Zionist Congress at Basle in 1898. Born in the Ukraine, Mrs. Umanski was associated with her late husband, Dr. Moses Umanski of Leeds, in the Bilu or early Russian Zionist movement founded by students.
