The use of aeroplanes in connection with the anti-locust campaign has been recommended in the report of the governmental committee on locust control. The report also advocates a coordinated scheme of research and recommends concentration on the breeding ground of the locust. The Red Sea region, Sudan, North Kenya, and South Arabia, are all mentioned for concentrated research.

The report estimates the cost of such research as about £8,000 annually of which the governments of Palestine, Sudan and Kenya offered contributions of £2,830. Other territories have offered financial support without specifying any definite sum.
