The newly established Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia will open its first academic year in October with a roster of 17 students and a faculty of eight rabbis and scholars, it was announced today by Rabbi Ira Eisenstein, president of the Jewish Reconstructionist Foundation, sponsor of the college. Rabbi Arthur Gilbert, of New York, assistant to Rabbi Eisenstein, has been appointed dean of the new college.
