Vanessa Redgrave, the actress known for her ardent support of the Palestine Liberation Organization, reiterated her call for Israel’s demise in order to make room for a secular state in Palestine. “I don’t think that there is an room for a state of Israel,” she said in an interview published today in the Beirut weekly magazine, Monday Morning.”
The anti-Israel actress also was quoted as saying that her role as a concentration camp inmate in the recent CBS-TV film, “Playing for Time,” “has strengthened my belief that the only way the Jews of the world can press ahead is to struggle with the Palestinian people for the establishment of a democratic, secular state in Palestine.”
