The Philip Goodman Collection comprising over 7,000 bookplates of Jewish interest, has been acquired by the library of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion here. The collection was amassed by Rabbi Goodman over a period of 20 years. Bookplates are valued by historians, sociologists and art historians for the biographical and genealogical material they contain.
