Former dentists will become dental mechanics, saleswomen will become milliners and housewives will become trained domestic workers under a program by which 1,500 refugees will be trained by the National Refugee Service in 1941 for new jobs in America. A group of 74 men and women began such retraining courses in January.
This is the result of a recent decision of the NRS to place increased emphasis on retraining activity. A special division has been created within the organization to service each applicant’s problem on an individual basis.
