A recommendation that the trading hours of Jewish merchants be prolonged preceding Jewish holidays was rejected today by the Industrial Committee of the Polish Senate.
During its discussion of a general law project to extend trading hours on the weeks preceding Easter and Christmas, Senator Davidson suggested that the Jewish holidays, Succoth and Passover be included. The members of the committee voted against Senator Davidson’s proposal.
