It was disclosed today that Hans Kiessen, the German Jewish trans-Alpine flier, who was instantly killed on February 19, when a new plane which he was testing crashed, was dismissed by the Lufthansa primarily because of his race. Kiessen was then forced to accept the most dangerous work, that of making the first test on airplanes which were never previously tried.
