The anti-Semitic campaign tonight was extended to stamp collectors and dealers when a Jewish stamp merchant who had been operating for 30 years, was ordered out of business. Inasmuch as postage stamps are classed as negotiable paper, traffic in them is henceforth closed to Jews, the order specified.
Rather than advertise a situation which might be distasteful to some of the foreigners in Nuremberg to see the Nazi Party Congress, authorities have torn down the yellow poles which until sunday stood before all Nuremberg’s remaining Jewish shops. To prevent the thousands of assembled Nazis from unwittingly enriching the Jewish merchants, however, authorities have closed all the shops until the Congress is over. Then the yellow poles will go up again.
