Foreign Jewish doctors will be admitted to the international medical postgraduate courses arranged for by the Berlin Academy of Medicine, but German Jewish doctors are barred, it was announced today.
The action of the Berlin Academy of Medicine follows the precedent set by the Nazi government itself that Jewish students and tourists from abroad are welcome in Germany and can go anywhere or do anything, but that native German Jews are not welcome.
Recently the chief of the Berlin police issued an order forbidding the molestation of foreigners “even those who look like Jews” and ordering university chiefs to see to it that foreign students, including Jews, were treated respectfully.
