“Economically German is on the down-grade. The condition of the German people today, under the Hitler regime, is worse than a year ago and it is getting worse every day,” declared Judge Samuel R. Stern of this city, former president of the Washington State Bar Association, who has just left Germany after making observations and camera views of Jewish life and customs.
Judge Stern stated that the fight against Hitlerism is not alone the Jews’, but the fight of civilization against barbarism. The only hope for the German Jews, he believes, is an effective world-wide boycott against Nazi goods and shipping.
