German and stateless Jews being deported in large numbers from various areas in the Reich are reportedly enroute to Poland and unoccupied France, a Berlin dispatch to the Swedish newspaper Sydsvenska Dagbladet said today.
Thousands are being shipped out of Baden and the Palatinate under orders of the Gestapo and Nazi officials, it was said. Similar deportations also are being carried out in the Karlsruhe, Ludwigshafen and Speyer areas. The deportees include all who can be transported, regardless of their age and including war veterans, the newspaper reported.
