The German consulate in Palestine today notified a number of German Jewish residents that their German citizenship has been cancelled on orders from the central government in Berlin.

Those German Jews who have lost their citizenship rights will now become stateless until they are citizens of Palestine. According to existing regulations, persons who came into the country legally may become citizens of Palestine after two years’ residence.
