Continued persecution of the German Jews will lead to national suicide for Germany, Professor Elliot Smith, noted anthropologist, declared today in an article in the London News Chronicle.
Professor Smith, who is chairman of a scientific committee appointed by the Royal Anthropological Institute to determine the contribution of the various races to the upbuilding of civilization, stated that “although I usually object to becoming involved in political controversies; in this case it is our duty to protest the Nazis claims against the Jews. “Actually the Jews played a preeminent part in introducing civilization to barbarian Europe, while Nordics played no part in the process until civilization was far advanced.”
