Reich to Ban All Jewish Publications

All German Jewish papers in Germany may be compelled to suspend publication as the result of a new law made public today, providing that racial and religious publications are henceforth forbidden.

The same law provides that persons who cannot prove their “Aryan” origin from the year 1800, may not be publishers of a newspaper or directors of publishing houses.

A world index of “Aryan” lawyers will be compiled by the Nazis in Germany, it is announced in the Fraenkische Zeitung, a Nazi daily published in Nuremberg by Julius Streicher.

The paper reports that the Central Bureau for International Law at the Nazi Lawyers Association has started to compile the index “in order to facilitate the supply of racially fit attorneys all over the world.”

CITES DIFFICULTIES

“It is not easy to get the Jews out of Germany,” the same paper complains today. The Streicher organ emphasizes that “it has been possible to clear the Jews out of public offices but there is no possibility of preventing them from being engaged in commerce unless no German ever buys anything again from a Jew.”

“Unfortunately,” the paper writes, “this seems a very remote likelihood. Nor is it possible to prevent the Jews from practicing in liberal professions. It should, however, be possible to keep the Jews out of practice in the official Sick Funds for these are public institutions and should be regulated in the same way as all other public offices.”

“HONORARY ARYAN”

The Hessische Landeszeitung complains that it has received information from a reliable source in Frankfurt-am-Main that a well known Jew there is to be proclaimed an “honorary Aryan.”
