No civil service employe in Germany will be allowed to marry in the future without first obtaining official approval of his choice of a marriage partner, according to new regulations issued by the Hitler government.

The applicant will have to prove the "Aryanism" of his bride by submitting as evidence her birth certificate as well as those of her father, mother, grandfather and grandmother. The new regulations apply to employes of both sexes and are retroactive to July 1, 1933.

Those marrying without the official approval of their prospective wives or husbands will be promptly dismissed.
