Documents purporting to show Manuel Hedilla, Spanish Fascist leader, had relations with Jewish organizations are expected to be presented when he is tried in Salamanca for opposing Rebel Commander Francisco France, the Havas News Agency reported today.
Hedilla is being held incommunicado in Salamanca prison and 1,000 Phalangists (Spanish Fascists) have been arrested, Havas said, with everything pointing to an imminent public trial. France yesterday removed Hedilla from the Executive body of the new Insurgent “Single” Party.
