The story of a Jew who married the second cousin of Abraham Lincoln, was revealed in a Seattle courtroom this week when a little seventy-nine-year-old lady, Mrs. Maria C. Leftcovitch, took the witness stand in King County Superior Court to testify in the divorce suit of her son.
The white – haired mother, whose Jewish husband is now dead, identified herself on the witness stand as “a second cousin of Abraham Lincoln.” Later Mrs. Leftcovitch revealed that Abraham Lincoln’s mother was the aunt of her own mother.
