Relgious pluralism is not a leading concern in Israel, a member of the Knesset told a visiting delegation of 30 American Reform rabbis. “You need to take a broader look at Israeli society and not just look at your one issue,” said Alex Lubotzky, who has been a driving force in compromise efforts on pluralism issues. The meeting came one day after the delegation held a mixed prayer service at the Western Wall, prompting a demonstration by fervently Orthodox protesters.
