“Religious prejudices are taboo at the Home Camp of Des Moines, sponsored by the Jewish Community Center,” declared Mrs. Max Mayer, director of the center.
Mrs. Mayer emphasized that the camp is non-sectarian and that children in it have no prejudices. Except for a five-cent swimming fee once a week, no charge is made for the facilities which include dramatics, games, sports, handicrafts, dancing, sewing, journalism and musical comedy. The camp has just opened for its third season.
