The funeral of Madame Sokolow took place here today. Dr. Chaim Weizmann, Chief Rabbi Hertz, Dr. Moses Gaster, the members of the Zionist Executive, the staff of the Zionist Organization, representatives of the English Zionist Federation, representatives of the Jewish Colonial Trust and Colonel Patterson attended it.
At the grave, the youngest son of the late Hme. Sokolow, said Kadish. Dr. Weizmann delivered the funeral oration in which he paid tribute to Mme. Sokolow’s devotion to her family and
to the cause of Zionism. Many telegrams of condolence were received from Jerusalem, Warsaw, Vienna, Paris, Bucharest and other centers of Jewish life in all parts of the world.
The body of Mme. Sokolow was embalmed, and it is the intertion of her family to transfer it to Palestine.
