Dr. Nelson Glueck, professor in the American School of Oriental Research and faulty member of the Hebrew Unio college, addressing the Cloassical and Semitic Clubs of Yale University, announced that traces of the culture of prehistoric man has been recently discovered in Palestine. Dr. Glueck leaves this country shortly to join another expedition which will excavate in this region.
Speaking on “Archaeological Discoveries in Transjordan and Palestine,” Dr. Glueck said that the ancient city of Jerasch in Transjordan was one of the most typical Roman cities left today, despite its great distance from Roman centers. Excavatiosn have been in progress here for many years.
