The feats of the Jewish navy that fought the Romans nearly two thousand years ago were recalled today by Commander Douglas W. Duff, addressing young seamen at the Jewish Nautical School here.
Commander Duff, who was formerly a member of the Palestine Police and who is the author of “A Sword to Hire,” told his listeners that “the Jewish navy courageously fought the Romans 1,900 years ago. You should bear in your hearts the memory of those heroes.”
