Rep. Walter Charged with Sabotaging Bill to Admit 240,000

Rep. Emanuel Celler today accused### Francis E. Walter of trying to sabotage President Eisenhower’s emerge### gration legislation to admit 240,000 additional refugees. In a clash at a ### the House Immigration Subcommittee, Rep. Celler said the Congressm### sought to load the bill with controversial features “to increase the oppos### comes up on the House floor.”
