The institution of special immigration regulations is being considered by the government, in anticipation of difficulties which may arise from the desire of Jewish minorities of Germany and other countries to seek protection in Cyprus, under the Union Jack.

This became known here today when it was officially denied that there was any possibility of Jewish mass immigration to Cyprus.

It is not discouraging prospective capitalist settlers, the government stated, but wishes to control attempts at wholesale immigration.
