The Jewish Agency for Palestine may boycott the January conference because of the British Government’s delay in authorizing immediate entry into the Holy Land of 10,000 Jewish children from Germany, Zionist circles declared here tonight.
In the House of Lords today, Lord Dufferin, Colonial Undersecretary, said that “although the matter is still under discussion, it would be difficult even to let in these 10,000 children,” in order not to jeopardize the success of the conference, which is intended to solve the Palestine problem.
Such a decision, Zionists here said, will be deplored by the entire Jewish Community and will prejudice the conference’s results. A meeting of the Zionist Federation Executive Council was called for next Monday to discuss the problem.
