The Executive of the Jewish Agency for Palestine today denied knowledge of the reported resignation of Chairman David Ben Gurion of Jerusalem in connection with the Palestine land act.
The current issue of the Jewish Chronicle states that on March 12, Ben Gurion regarded himself as an ex-member of the Executive. It is pointed out here, however, that on March 14 he participated in a session of the Palestine branch of the Zionist General Council.
Dissatisfaction with the Agency’s policy toward the land act was said to be behind the reported resignation, with Ben Gurion advocating a stronger stand than hitherto taken against the measures which restrict purchase of land in Palestine.
