Reports That Soviet Jews Used Lulavim and Etrogim Sent by Canadian Jewish Congress

A Canadian Jewish Congress official who visited Russia recently reported that Lulavim and Etrogim sent there by the CJ Congress arrived and were used to celebrate Succoth by Jews in Moscow and Leningrad. Judge Harold Lande, CJ Congress treasurer, said he received his information from Rabbi Yehuda Lelb Levin of Moscow with whom he spoke. Judge Lande visited the Soviet Union as a delegate to the International Labor Organization’s special conference on the application of labor laws in various countries.
