Dr. Solomon Tucker, director of the Latin American Department of the Weizmann Institute received an enthusiastic reception at the National University of Havana when he lectured on the subject “Science in Israel and Latin America.”
Members of the faculty, students and representatives of Jewish institutions attended the lecture. Dr. Tucker’s visit to Havana is connected with plans for achieving closer cooperation between institutions of higher learning in Israel and Cuba.
