Representatives of Jewish communities in Scandinavian countries, meeting at the first Inter-Scandinavian Jewish Conference here, expressed thanks to King Gustav and the Swedish people for the assistance given Jews in occupied countries. The conference decided to join the World Jewish Congress.
The Finnish radio today reported that more than twenty percent of the Jewish population in Finland participated in the war. Of 1,700 Jews living in Finland, 350 served in the armed forces. Twenty of them were killed in action, the broadcast said.
