Republican Dick Zimmer’s concession to Rep. Rush Holt (D-N.J.) in a New Jersey congressional race leaves the number of Jews in the U.S. House of Representatives at 27 for the 107th Congress. The number of Jews in the Senate will either be nine or 10, depending on whether Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.) becomes vice president or remains in the Senate.
