Researchers in Poland compiled a history of the Auschwitz death camp. Just issued in English, “Auschwitz 1940- 1945” makes use of German documents newly available from Russian archives and more than half a century of Auschwitz studies. The study includes construction plans for the gas chambers and crematoria, prisoner lists and first-hand accounts.
