The question as to whether the resignations of Government officials in Palestine have any political basis was raised today in the House of Commons by Col, Howard Bury. Colohial Minister Thomas replied that these resignations, four in Palestine and one in Transjordania, have no political basis. The resignation in Transjordania occurred on account of the abolishment of that particular office, and those in Palestine were for purely personal reasons. Minister Thomas expressed his appreciation of the work of the Palestinian officials and declared that the resignations had nothing to do with the rumored dissatisfaction of the resigning officials with the Arab policy of Sir Herbert Samuel’s administration.
