A resolution calling on the United States Department of State to “firmly” oppose Arab interference with the rights of American citizens and firms to travel to, reside in or trade with areas controlled by Arab League states was introduced in the Michigan State Senate at Lansing this weekend by State Senator Charles S. Blondy.
The resolution also calls on the State Department to “redress these circumstances and conditions, and to prevent them in the future.” In the preambular clauses of the resolution, Senator Blondy specifically objected to the anti-Israeli boycott as applied to American citizens and shipping, and to the banning of Jews from the United States-operated Dharhan air-base in Saudi Arabia.
