Generous response with food supplies for East Side needy during the Passover holidays was reported by Mrs. Gabriel Hamburger, president of Children’s Welfare League, and Bennett E. Siegelstein, president of the East Side Center, both of 128-132 Stanton street, in an announcement yesterday.
Mr. Siegelstein has asked the city administration to establish a park near the center for the benefit of the children, as an added move in the city’s attempt to rehabilitate the East Side, the announcement stated.
