Restaurants and cafes in Tel Aviv will face fines for operating during the fast of Tisha B’Av, which begins Wednesday at sundown. The Tel Aviv municipality said it would enforce an amended law forbidding places defined as “places of enjoyment” from operating on the fast day, which commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples.
