Brandeis University announced today that a $1, 000, 000 grant from the Charles H. Revson Foundation of New York will be used to under-write the entire science education of outstanding college graduates. Mr. Revson is chairman of the board and founder of Revlon, Inc., the cosmetics firm.

The fellowships, providing up to $5, 000 a year for a graduate student in the sciences, through his doctorate degree, are among the highest fellowship stipends provided in private educational institutions in the United States.

Grants will be made for three to four year periods instead of the usual one-year grant to assure recipients of complete financial support during the years of work needed for a Ph.D. Faculty selection committees have begun the search for students who will win fellowships in a variety of scientific fields.
