Right-wing elements in this country are pressing for inclusion in the plebiscite reportedly under consideration by the Government of “controversial issues like the anti-Nazi laws and the return of Jewish property taken by the Nazis,” according to the right-wing newspaper, Die Presse.
The government intention, according to this source, is to hold a plebiscite on the Austrian treaty issue to support a formal complaint to the United Nations against Soviet policy in Austria. Pro-Nazi elements would extend this plebiscite to cover the anti-Nazi laws and the property issue.
