Anti-Jewish attacks in which the windows of many Jewish houses and shops were smashed are reported today from the town of Rybnick in Upper Silesia, while a wave of anti-Jewish propaganda is reported from several places in Pomerania.
The Rybnick riots started as a result of particularly venomous anti-Semitic propaganda conducted by the local Catholic paper, Zwiazeck Catolicki. The report does not indicate whether any arrests were made.
POSTERS URGE BOYCOTT
Slowo Pomorski, a leading Polish newspaper, reports today from Semplona, Pomerania, that many houses in the neighboring townships are displaying posters calling upon the Polish population to boycott the Jews. “All those buying from Jews are traitors to the country,” the posters read.
The Polish paper emphasizes that the anti-Jewish campaign in Pomerania is being conducted most vigorously.
The Plock Assizes today acquitted three persons and sentenced one to a year imprisonment for the murder of Sindel Joskowitz, a Jew who was killed last October 10.
Jaskowitz, a member of the Brith Hachail, Revisionist military organization, was fatally wounded, and several others were severely injured when they were attacked with knives by a band of anti-Semitic Polish peasant youth, while on an outing on the outskirts of Nowemiasto, in the district of War sow.
