A demand that the Jewish Agency organized to give greater representation and funds to opposition parties within Palestine was voiced this week-end at the conference of the central committee of the world Agudas Israel which is being held here. Rabbi I.M. Lewin, chairman of the Agu(##) executive, and H.A. Goodman, political secretary, will go to New York after the (##)ssions to attempt to obtain a greater share of the funds collected for Palestine (?)ojects for the use of the Orthodox movement’s projects.
Following receipt of an appeal from the Agudah members among the Exodus refugees, the conference decided to appeal to the British Government to permit the visass immigrants to anter Palestine, even if regular monthly allotments of certificates (##)st be used for them. Some 170 delegates have already been accredited to the con(##)rance, but some representatives from Poland, Hungary and Rumania still have to arrive.
Meanwhile, a world conference of the women’s Agudah chapter opened here. The (##) decided to organize a World Union of Agudah Women.
