Robert Szold, chairman of the board of the Palestine Economic Corporation, oldest American investment and development agency in Israel, was elected president of the 27-year-old company at the quarterly meeting of the board of directors. Mr. Szold was also re-elected chairman of the board.
The board voted to accept “with deepest regret and reluctance” the resignation of Israel B. Brodie, vice-chairman of the board for many years, who will remain a director. Senator Herbert H. Lehman, one of the original founders of the PEC, was re-elected honorary chairman.
