Rome Names Street After Lombroso, Famed Criminologist

The municipality of Rome decided today to name a new street after Caesare Lombroso, the famous criminologist, who was born in Verona in 1836 of an old Jewish family.

Lombroso, who died in Turin in 1909, was author of many well known works including “Genius & Insanity, ” “Woman as Criminal and Prostitute, ” and “Anti-Semitism in Science. ” In the last years of his life he devoted himself to spiritualism.
