In order to enable him to visit the grave of his father, the late Cantor Josef Rosenblatt, who died last June 19 and was buried in the Mount of Olives Cemetery in Jerusalem, the Rev. Dr. Samuel Rosenblatt, rabbi of the Beth Tfiloh Synagogue, has made arrangements to conduct a forty-day tour to Palestine this summer.
The journey will be from June 23 to August 2, and the party will sail on the Rex, of the Italian Line. Rome and Naples in Italy and Cairo and the pyramids in Egypt will be visited en route, and twelve days will be spent in the Holy Land. Lectures will be delivered by the rabbi on the history of the countries, as well as other divertissements. The tourists will enjoy the benefits of his acquaintance with the local customs and his experience as a traveler.
Dr. Rosenblatt will be accompanied by his wife. A large number from Baltimore are expected to make the trip.
