Lessing J. Rosenwald, son of the late Julius Rosenwald, noted philanthropist, denied today that the Rosenwald family was contesting a million-dollar bequest to the Berlin Dental Clinic because the clinic officials announced no Jewish dentists would be employed there. Mr. Rosenwald said there had been no bequest made under his father’s will for this specific purpose.
“Our understanding is that at some future date this matter will be given due consideration by the Rosenwald Family Association, a charitable corporation which received a bequest under Mr. Rosenwald’s will, and at that time a gift will be considered on the merits of the case,” he stated.
