Julius Rosenwald will open in Chicago a technical and industrial museum, according to advices received here from Vienna.
“American inventive genius needs greater stimulation and room for development,” Mr. Rosenwald stated to press representatives before his departure from Vienna. “I came here purposely to study Vienna’s technical museum, which I believe is the greatest in the world, and which I want to see surpassed in Chicago.
“I would like every young growing mind in Chicago to be able to see working models, visualizing developments in machines and processes which have been built by the greatest industrial nation in the world.”
Mr. Rosenwald will sail for America on April 28.
Dr. Anton Flettner, inventor of the rotor ship, arrived yesterday on the steamer Hamburg. He is visiting the United States in response to invitations from several technical and scientific societies.
